CASE STUDY / TRAVEL
AJ Dream Travel: 423 to 9,390 followers in six months, then we handed the system over
Alla and John run AJ Dream Travel. Between November 2025 and April 2026 we took their Instagram from 423 to 9,390 followers, about 22 times growth, on 184 organic reels. Then we taught them to run it themselves and stepped back.
- Nov 2025 to Apr 2026
- 423 to 9,390 followers
- 22.9M video views
- 184 reels, all organic
The situation
In November 2025 the AJ Dream Travel account had 423 followers. No ad budget, no boosted posts, no borrowed audience. Alla and John were already doing the hard part, traveling constantly and knowing the trips inside out, but almost none of it was reaching anyone.
The brief had a twist most clients never ask for. They did not want an agency on retainer forever. They wanted the machine built, and then they wanted to run it themselves. Our job was to make ourselves unnecessary.
The play
Founder-led reels, built from a fixed format library, published at volume. Alla and John are on camera in every one. The destination is the backdrop, never the subject.
The mechanic was specific. Every reel opens on a decision a traveler is about to make, not on the scenery: the mistake people make at the airport, the room that is worth the upgrade, the day that is worth skipping. On-screen text carries the whole story so the reel lands with the sound off. The format library meant no reel ever started from a blank page, which is what lets a founder hold a cadence instead of burning out on it. We published 184 reels in six months, all organic, with no ads and no boosts behind any of them.

What happened
From November 2025 to April 2026 the account went from 423 to 9,390 followers, about 22 times growth, and the reels did 22.9M video views in that documented window.
Eleven or more of those reels have since cleared a million views each, on the public counters as of August 10, 2026. The engagement mix is the part worth reading twice. Shares (975K) outnumbered likes (812K), out of 1.87M interactions in total, Nov 2025 to Apr 2026. People were not just enjoying these reels, they were forwarding them to the person they travel with.

Why it worked
Two things transfer out of this account and into almost any other one.
The first is that shares are the growth engine, not likes. A like is a reaction. A share is one person putting your video in front of a specific other person, by name, for free. Here shares (975K) beat likes (812K) across the window, and that ratio is the reason a 423-follower account reached 22.9M views. If you want that ratio, stop making content people admire and start making content people need to send to someone.
The second is that a system beats a hit. 184 reels in six months is not luck showing up a few times. It is a format library, a fixed cadence, and a founder who knows what to point the camera at. Any one reel can miss. The library cannot.
Which is why we could leave. Through the spring of 2026 we moved from making the reels to coaching them: what to film, how to open, when to post. In May 2026 we handed over the account, the format library and the skills to run both. Alla and John have been posting on their own ever since.
Then came the part most agencies would quietly leave off the page. A reel posted on July 12, 2026, after the handoff and made entirely by Alla and John with no involvement from us, did 3.5M views and 111K likes, public counter as of Aug 10, 2026. That reel is the best argument here. The brief was to make ourselves unnecessary, and it worked.
“…very creative, professional, and super easy to work with. Highly recommend if you need help growing your social media.”
